Modern age is the age of computer. The acts that were previously performed by the brain of man are now done by the computer. So, the computer is now called mind- computer. A computer is a very important electronic device to fulfil different aims.
Charles Babbage, an English mathematician is known as the Father of the Modern Computer. He designed the first computer in the beginning of 19th century. The computer performs every kind of mathematical operations itself in seconds. Now it has become very useful in Government as well as non- government offices.
With the change of time, demand of computers has increased everywhere. Its need is growing not only in government offices but also in commercial firms and other various institutions. Now they are used in different manufacturing factories and mills. Computers are also used in banks for keeping the accounts of customers. Now our electric charge bills, municipal tax bills, etc. are also prepared by computers. Besides, they are useful in printing news papers, books, etc. Reservation of seats on railways is also done by computers. They also foretell the weather.
They are also very useful in teaching difficult subjects to students. Robots and other machines useful to mankind are also moved by computers.
In brief we conclude that in the long run the use of computes will prove beneficial to our country. But computers may sometimes prove harmful to us. Its use has increased unemployment in our country. So its use should he made carefully. Computers should be used only to help people not to replace them.
